Unveiling Vision and Purpose

Let’s play a game! Imagine that God is speaking to you and all you must do is fill in the blank:

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you to do what _____________?”

I love the beginning of the Book of Jeremiah! It provides me with an opportunity to reflect upon my purpose and calling. God affirmed to Jeremiah that he knew him before he was formed in his mother’s womb and that he was set apart and appointed to accomplish a great mission. We all may not have a prophetic calling like the Prophet Jeremiah, however. We all have a calling to fulfill a greater purpose in life.

“Can You See God At Work In Your Life?”

Each of us has hopes and dreams of life achievements. Imprinted on our hearts is a desire to prosper. At the beginning of creation, God spoke and stated, “Let us make human beings in our image.” In doing so, He placed a portion of his character into the creation of every person before forming them in the womb. Therefore, confirming those powerful words of affirmation, “I knew ‘YOU’ before I formed ‘YOU” in your mother’s womb.”

God has set each of us apart and has appointed us to fulfill a purpose that brings him pleasure. The plans that God has for us is to produce hope, to provide a future, and to live life abundantly. Planted on the inside of you is the ability to succeed and to reign with dominion.

Where There Is No Vision The People Perish”

What are your goals? Do you know or understand God’s purpose/vision for your life? Matthew 6:33 instructs us to, (1) seek the Kingdom of God above all else, (2) live righteously, and (3) he will give us everything that we need. We must follow those instructions because, it is God that is working on the inside of us, giving us the desire and power, to do what pleases Him.

When you seek God above all else, he will reveal his vision for your life. His vision for you is already written on your heart. Many people never fulfill their divine purpose in life nor reach their maximum potential due to lack of knowledge or belief. Some feel as if their dreams are impossible to achieve due to their surroundings, upbringing, or life experiences. Whatever you do, do not downplay your dreams, visions, or desires, they are not a figment of your imagination. Those are few of many ways that God speaks to us to reveal his purpose for our life. When you understand who God is and how he communicates, you will start to pay attention to what is being unveiled. Then you will begin to communicate and experience life with Him like never before.

God desires to be in a relationship with you. If you’re struggling with identifying God’s purpose for your life, please send me a message. We can seek God’s Kingdom together!

Salvation

If you do not have a relationship with God and have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please consider making that step today! Salvation is as close as your own lips and heart. Romans 10:9-10, If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

  1. This was such a blessing and so true I was able to think back to when I did not know my purpose. It was because I was not seeking the one who planted His divine purpose in my heart, but once I began to seek the Lord for myself my life was changed forever!!! Thank you for this amazing post and responding to the vision God has placed in your heart.
